Iconic Dreadlocks
Further research led me to look at celebrities who styled their hair with dreadlocks and the different ways they did so.
Zendaya
Zendaya is an American singer, actress, dancer, and model. Above is her on the red carpet for the 2015 Oscars wearing her hair in long dreadlocks. The dreadlocks are simply styled cliped back from her face in an elagant way. I really like the length and colour of these dreaklocks and noticed how all the dreadlocks are different length making them look natural.
Damian Marley
Damian is a Jamaican reggae singer and the son of iconic reggae artist Bob Marley (Below). His dreads are thinner than his Dad's but much longer. This is influenced by their different hair type and the fact that dreadlocks are much thicker at the top then thin out at the botton probably is an influence. Damian Merley's dreadlocks are exceptionaly long and would have taken years to grow.
Other Iconic Celebrities with Dreadlocks
Celebrities such as Beyonce, Lada Gaga and Shakira styled their hair in dreadlocks as a fashion statment which they wore for a short period of time. Where as Lisa Bonet and Samuel Larsen it is part of their signature look. Below shows a range of the different styles, colours and textures of all different dreadlocks giving them an individual appearence to the person wearing them. I really like how unique they can look.
