I researched into the appearance of witches within film to see the different visual appearances they had over the years.
The two quite common appearances for them appeared to be either haggled, old and unattractive or the complete opposite, of young, attractive which was a very deceiving appearance.
I would like to create my own version of a witch for a film character.
From researching into films with witches in I found good witches tended to just look like every other human within the film.
Some films I looked at which included a good witch were, Sabrina the teenage witch and Harry Potter (Hermione Granger).

After looking into the appearance of witches within film and thinking about the two very common appearances of them (Either old and haggled or young and attractive) A few films use this and give the witch two identities deceiving the audience and other characters in the film. Examples of films which do this: Snow White (1937),The witches (1990), Enchanted (2007), Stardust (2007), Oz the Great and Powerful (2013).
This lead me to research further into the design and thought process of designing these characters, so looked at the original and classic witch of the Wicked Queen from Snow White.
