In my initial hair designs the majority of the designs had long hair and a lot of volume. Although my model has very long hair similar to the length of the hair in my designs her hair isn't thick and is all one length except the few layers added around the face so doesn't have enough layers for the high volume at the top of the head and thickness I desire. I considered either using hair extensions which would be incorporated into the hair or a wig. 

After consideration and research I had developed my designs and figured I wanted the hair to be very dark (almost black) to represent power, elegance, death and mystery so knew my models hair was going to be too light as it had light brown highlights from the top.

I also wanted the hair to be quite wild and course with a very thick texture which I could style and manipulate to represent the association with witches that they hid objects in their hair. 

In my developed designs the ends of the hair were all thin and scraggly as the image of the witch I have interpreted as being imperfect and crude i didn't think a clean cut hair style would reflect upon the image of a witch from my research. 

Looking over my designs and considering different possibilities taking note of all the small details of characteristics I want within the hair to build character with subtle details I decided creating a wig would be most effective, and the choice they would make for film.
